Quite the concept! Just having the daily confidence is great. Then use the remote to bring the bow into the dock. On occasions, if alone, I can come into a dock and step off with a stern line and secure it. It's on my Hunter 46 sailboat with plenty of power. I had installed my Yacht Thruster 300 myself in 2011 and it has worked flawlessly ever since. It was great meeting you at the boat show and thank you for the additional information. Honestly, it is very rare to have the stern thruster outrun the bow thruster! I am pleasantly surprise. The 300C stern thruster works great on this Tiara 36! The customer reports that the stern thruster seems to be providing more thrust that the stock Lewmar tunnel bow thruster. The wireless remote has been a life saver especially when working the bow at a morning.
So far it has been working as advertised, we have been very satisfied with its performance to date and it sure does make docking a lot easier.

I wanted to follow up and update you on how the bow thruster Peter installed. I had the bow thruster installed on Optimistic in LI,NY along with Ken Hecht on Hanse 41 back in March. Worth the investment, even on a smaller boat like the Thank you for all your help. More than peace of mind, the level of confidence while approaching a tight docking area is great! Well worth the money spent! I was able to put it to good use this last weekend and dock the boat in very tight spaces. The stern thruster works perfect on the Nordhavn 46. My wife and I are both 78 and the thruster has helped us continue boating safely. I also used it to pivot the boat within her own length going into the boat yard and backed into the slip with ease. Without the thruster I would have needed to leave the slip and start a whole new entry. A simple pulse with the thruster brought her right back to the dock. I recently backed into my slip and as the nose started to get away. I am on a downwind side tie with onshore breeze pretty consistent. My Cal 2-46 is a heavy boat ( 36000 lb) and has a pretty big wind effect at the front. Now that it's all done, we are thrilled with the boat and hope to convince our friends to do the same. We can't say enough good things about her work and how easy she was to work with.

Also, we would highly recommend the Yacht Controller for a large vessel, particularly if it's a couple with no additional crew. Since we are older (76 & 67 now) and handled the vessel ourselves, the additional stern thruster gave us the added maneuverability to put the 65' LOA vessel anywhere. The addition of the stern thrusters on the Jefferson 57 made a big difference in us handling her. I love my Yacht Thruster! I had one incident where I was able to pin the boat into a side to dock with 30+ knot winds pushing against the dock! The Yacht Thruster gives me the ability to handle the boat much more effectively in any boating condition. This thruster has completely changed the way I feel about this boat. Works just as great as the day I installed it. Going on season number 5 with the Yacht Thruster installed.
